Emily is a Portfolio Manager at Alitis Investment Counsel with over 15 years’ experience in the Investment Management Industry.
Emily works directly with clients as part of the Alitis Wealth Management Team. She works with families and professionals to help establish and accomplish their personal financial objectives. Emily believes investment management is only one piece of the solution and is best implemented with a financial planning overlay.
Emily started in the investment industry in 2008, right before the market crash. Witnessing the financial and emotional impact of that market crash strongly influenced her personal investment philosophy. Being a conservative investment manager has helped her discover her true passion: Financial Planning. Emily joined Alitis in 2012 and has since proved to be a great fit.
Emily’s qualifications include the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations, a diploma in Finance & Associate of Arts in Economics from Camosun College in Victoria, BC.
Emily lives in the Comox Valley with her husband and young sons. The entire family enjoys an outdoor west coast lifestyle: skiing in the winter, boating, gardening and camping in the summer.
