Shawn is an Associate Portfolio Manager at Alitis Investment Counsel with over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Always someone who enjoys helping others, Shawn became a financial professional to assist clients to optimize their financial well-being.
He works with pre and post retirees and business owners to help them achieve financial security so they can enjoy a richer life. He is experienced in making the complex simple and creating clarity when the future seems blurred. Shawn comes up with innovative strategies to reduce taxes, increase wealth, and plan for the efficient transfer of wealth from one generation to another. Shawn is motivated to provide superior client service and making the planning process a little more fun!
Shawn’s qualifications include the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations. Shawn is Life Insurance licensed with Alitis Wealth Planning Inc. to assist clients with all their insurance planning needs.
Shawn lives in the Comox Valley with his wife, Sheila, and two children, Evan and Lauren. Outside of the office he can be found enjoying the outdoors on his skis, bike, at the golf course, or coaching his children’s soccer teams.
